Fourth Wing has become a viral TikTok sensation to rival the likes of A Court of Thorns and Roses and Colleen Hoover. Now, with the release of the second novel fast approaching, we are waiting to see if any news will come out of adaptations to the screen.
The first of a supposed five part series, The Fourth Wing introduces 20-year-old, Violet Sorrengail who is forced by her mother – a General and the head commander at Basgiath – to sign up to the brutal and deadly program of training to be a Dragon Rider at Basgiath War College. Having trained her whole life to be a scribe, her odds of survival aren’t looking too good, with all the odds stacked against her, from a condition that affects her bones and ligaments that leaves her in chronic pain to the hatred from her fellow cadets as a result of her birth.
Now, the question on everyone’s lips is, will there be a TV show or movie adaptation of the book? Currently, no plans have been announced but given the TikTok vitality of the book and that books of similar popularity have been snatched up in development deals, we would hunch that this is a likely adaptation to occur.
