Rising star Kelsey Lamb has made her national television debut on NBC’s show American Song Contest. The track which she performed is available to listen to everywhere now.
Country up-and-comer Kelsey Lamb has made her national television debut, performing the track “Never Like This” on the season and series premiere of NBC’s American Song Contest. Hosted by pop superstar Kelly Clarkson and hip hop/rap mogul Snoop Dogg, American Song Contest – a spin on hit show Eurovision – boasts contestants in all genres, and from each state or territory in the United States. Lamb joined the cast as the official representative of her home state of Arkansas.
Lamb’s rendition of “Never Like This,” co-written by Carly Pearce, Parker Welling, and Casey Brown, garnered a standing ovation. Clarkson praised it “sounded like a hit country song,” while Snoop Dogg said it made him get “in my zone.”
The episode also included performances by GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Michael Bolton (Conn.), UG skywalkin (Ind.), Alisabeth Von Presley (Iowa), Yam Haus (Minn.), Keyone Starr (Miss.), AleXa (Okla.), Christian Pagán (Puerto Rico), Hueston (R.I.), Jake’O (Wis.), and Ryan Charles (Wyo.).
