Anglo-Austrian duo Two Ways Home have teamed up with chart-topping country artist, Joey Clarkson for new single ‘One More For the Road’ available everywhere today.
Chart-topping country artist, Joey Clarkson, and internationally touring folk/rock duo, Two Ways Home, have announced the launch of their new single ‘One More For The Road’, which will be available to download and stream across all mainstream digital platforms today.
The track, which features Canadian-born Clarkson, Anglo/Austrian duo Lewis Fowler & Isabella Mariee, and Clarkson’s British husband, Peter Dixon – a serving member of Her Majesty’s forces – is about long-lost friends being reunited.
Inspired by the divide caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the collaborators thought it ironic, yet fitting, that they originally hail from different corners of the earth. The song pays early tribute to the day when lockdown restrictions are entirely lifted.
Clarkson stated, “‘One More For The Road’ was born out of our frustration at the 2020 lockdown, and – instead of honing in on the negative aspects of life in lockdown – focuses on looking forward to the days we can all go back out and spend time with friends that we might have lost touch with. It’s a feel good song to sing along to at the top of your lungs.”
“The track is an upbeat, harmony-driven, road trip anthem that pairs well with artists like Lady A, Mumford and Sons, Keith Urban and Gone West.” commented Lewis Fowler, one half of Two Ways Home.
To engage fans with the release, while keeping in line with current social restrictions, the group are holding a youtube/twitch party on the day of their release, which will include games, quiz questions, some live music performances, special guests and the chance for participants to ask the foursome questions about their new single. Moreover, the group has partnered with Aston Microphones to bring their fans a live, acoustic video performance of ‘One More For The Road’, which will be released on Youtube in the week following it’s official release.
