Thomas Rhett has been hard at work during the pandemic, sharing a ton of new music on his Instagram and getting feedback from his fans. Last night, he shared the news that he will be releasing a new double album this year. Country Again, Side A, the first half of the record, is due out on April 30. The 11-song project features his current single, ‘What’s Your Country Song?’. Rhett also shared two new songs along with the album announcement – ‘Want It Again’ and ‘Growing Up.’ The singles already pivot the sound of the star back to a more traditional country sound. Indeed, Rhett shared of the album, ‘This is one of my favorite records I’ve ever gotten to make…I feel so centered as a person. A lot of these songs were written about the lessons I’ve learned over this decade, and for sure in 2020 … I’m just so excited.’
Side B of the record will be out later in the year, though at present Rhett did not indicate a proposed release date. One thing is for certain, this announcement pivots a new exciting era for Rhett in his music.
