2020 may have been a train wreck of a year, but there’s reason to be hopeful in 2021, including the prospect of a host of new country releases, including a new album from Florida Georgia Line and Morgan Wallen.
1. Florida Georgia Line, Life Rolls On (February 12th). Pre-order here.
Florida Georgia Line are back with their hotly-anticipated project, Life Rolls On, that taps into a fresh energy and passion, marking their first full-length set as co-producers with Corey Crowder. 16 diverse tracks reflect FGL’s growth not just as entertainers, but as husbands and friends as well. Expect grooving slow jams, modern-country romance and bonfire blazers.
“I think this personally is just a big, celebratory chapter,” Hubbard explains. “We’ve come a long way since 2012 when we dropped our first album, it’s wild to think about the journey we’ve been on – the things we’ve got to do, the places music has taken us. We’re celebrating life and the good times, the ups and the downs, and the journey it took us to get where we’re at.” “It’s just evident within the music how good of a time we’re having,” Kelley adds, “and how good of a place in life we are for sure.”
2. Morgan Wallen, Dangerous – The Double Album (January 8th). Pre-order here.
Big Loud/Republic Records’ Morgan Wallen will kick off the new year in style, with his mammoth 30-track double album, three years in the making. With a stunning arsenal of songwriters, including Ashley Gorley, Shane McAnally, Hillary Lindsey, Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, to two of Wallen’s biggest musical inspirations Eric Church and Jason Isbell, to his closest musical confidants HARDY, ERNEST and Ryan Vojtesak (aka Charlie Handsome), Dangerous: The Double Album further establishes the signature sound crafted by Wallen and producer Joey Moi on his #1 PLATINUM debut, If I Know Me.
3. Willie Jones, Right Now (January 22nd)
Willie Jones’ career is going from strength to strength and it is clear that Right Now – his debut album – is bound for immense cross-over success. The project features previously released singles “Windows Down,” “Bachelorettes on Broadway” (11 million+ on Spotify), “Back Porch” (2 million+ on Spotify), and his latest, “Down For It” featuring T.I. — an updated rendition of the original, which has accumulated more than 7 million streams on Spotify. The new track was featured on Pandora’s Country Rap, Apple’s New Music Daily, Country Risers and others, and it was the cover of TIDAL’s Rap & Country playlist.
