For many corners of the internet, the news that ‘The Idea of You’ trailer is here may be the best news of the week
The Idea of You trailer is finally here and we have thoughts…
- Nicholas Galitzine and Anne Hathaway are pretty compelling as Solène and Hayes, even though the two are so much closer in age than the characters in the book – will this make the tension around their ages feel less believable? Regardless, the scenes of Anne Hathaway surveying the art in her gallery, *chef’s kiss*.
- We can’t see much of Solène’s daughter in the trailer – given this is the focal plot point, let’s hope this is a case of editing not the reality of the film.
- The boyband – August Moon – looks like all our teenage dreams wrapped in a bow. Will they drop an album with the release? Here’s hoping.
- They met at Coachella? Did Solène bring her daughter to Coachella – this feels like a little flaw in the choices, as less believable, but we’re happy to be proven wrong.
- All in all, we are so ready for this film’s release that will add to Prime Video’s slate of book to TV/film releases, including ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ and ‘Red, White & Royal Blue.’
