Atlanta-based folk rock trio, Highbeams have released their charming new track – Take Care Of Me – and it’s worth a listen. Read our thoughts below.
Atlanta based folk rock trio, Highbeams have shared the video for their new track “Take Care of Me” with FOLK N ROCK! The band, formed by brothers and best friends, Adam Pendlington, Ian Pendlington, and Stephen Quinn, teamed up with Tony DeSantis, who animated and directed their vibrant music video.
“Take Care of Me” is Highbeams’ first release in 2021 and follows ”Inspired,” which dropped last November. Taking its cues from artists such as Shakey Graves, Avett Brothers and Mumford and Sons, the track is a powerful and moving track that is rammed with subtle charm. The voices of the trio meld sublimely in this immense showcase of their talent. In their own words, “Take Care of Me” is about “self doubt, and letting the fear of failure keep you stagnant. Not letting go of something (or someone) because you’re afraid, when moving on would make your life a whole lot better. But, it’s not that easy sometimes.”
The three piece band have performed hundreds of shows across the Southeast every year; including opening slots for acts like Vertical Horizon, Chase Bryant, Col Bruce Hampton, and the Grammy nominated, Brothers Osborne. Expect new singles from Highbeams in the upcoming months and in the meantime, keep up with the band here.
