Today, Lily Rose has released three additional tracks to add to her recent project – Stronger Than I Am – that add to the comprehensive picture of her as an artist.
Lily Rose has had a pretty special start to fall 2021, following the release of her project ‘Stronger Than I Am,’ Rose recently announced her engagement to girlfriend Daira Eamon. Now, she is adding to Stronger Than I Am, with three additional tracks, released today.
Kicking off the set of additional tracks is an external cut, penned by Rocky Block, John Byron and Jordan Gray that seamlessly fits where Stronger Than I Am left off. The track narrates a heart breaking in real time. Built around the sinking feeling of seeing your ex with someone new – and hoping it’s all a mistake – Rose’s swaggering vocal mixes rootsy grooves and vivid details with a modern, windblown twang to bring the track to life. It’s a grungy and propulsive track.
Next up, ‘Every Last One’ is another external cut by prolific songwriters Jordan Minton, Griffen Palmer and Mark Trussell and is dedicated by Lily to her fiancée Daira. The romantic centerpiece of the project, ‘Every Last One’ blends sly hip-hop beats and a slow-riding R&B flow in a confident come-on. Filled with lost-in-love serenity and all about the hope that forever can start at any moment, it’s a grooving anthem dedicated to intimacy and desire of a different flavour and is delightfully charming.
‘I’d Be Lyin’ rounds out the project and stands apart sonically – featuring a pure-Nashville flip on its central hook, the track speaks to the longing loneliness of post-breakup regret – and showcases Rose’s skill as a tunesmith. With fast-paced lyrics and pull-you-in pop-country sonics, she pines for the romantic good-ol’ days with clever wordplay and vivid turns of phrase. “I just think this is one of the best songwriting songs I have on the project,” she says and she’s not far wrong.
These additional tracks showcase the more romantic side to Rose, cement her ability to pen a phenomenal track and add to her grooving, RnB-infused sound that sets her apart in the Nashville landscape.
