Shania Twain took to the stage for the final day of the second weekend at BST Hyde Park for a chaotic, joyful and celebratory set
On Sunday night, the legendary country superstar Shania Twain headlined the mighty Great Oak Stage at American Express presents BST Hyde Park. Twain stepped into the spotlight for a chaotic, joyful and exuberant set that toured through all her hits, donning a Vivienne Westwood matching red mini skirt and jacket with a white top and a pair of silver lace-up boots.
She kicked off with a nostalgic trip through her hits, starting with “Don’t Be Stupid,” before a Vegas style “You Win My Love”, wistful “Wake Up Dreaming”, “Getcha Good” and “Forever and Always”, with Twain picking up her guitar and taking to a stool to treat the audience to an acoustic sing-along of “Still The One”.
“There have been a lot of people who have been with me since the release of this song,” she continued to a packed Hyde Park, before kicking off “Come On Over.” From there, things kicked into overdrive, country style, with ‘Any Man Of Mine,’ ‘Giddy Up’ and ‘Who’s Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?’
Twain dazzled the crowd with “From This Moment”, her immense vocals holding the audience spellbound, before ending on an epic finale, consisting of “That Don’t Impress Me Much”, “Party For Two”, “Rock This Country”, Outta Here” – and, of course ending with “Man, I Feel Like A Woman”.
“I will remember this forever, I promise you,” Twain declared, her eyes gleaming and the audience who packed into Hyde Park doubtless felt the same. It was a truly epic, nostalgic display of joy that is so unique to Shania Twain.
