The Destination Country network is thrilled to share with you the official lyric video for ‘Signs Of A Good Time’ by Tim Dugger, out tomorrow at 4pm BST.
Tim Dugger’s new EP Signs Of a Good Time is one of those projects that will stand the test of time, bringing a pure country sound and embedding his roots in throughout the project. Today, the Destination Country network is proud to bring you the new lyric video for ‘Signs of a Good Time.’ Speaking of the track, Dugger says, ‘Signs of a Good Time is just an out in the middle of nowhere party song. Of course all my music is inspired by where I’m from and or who I am, and it was cool to have who Tim Dugger is shine through with this lyric video.’
For the video, Dugger returned to his home in Talladega, ‘The live shots are from the Talladega infield. One of my favorite places to perform and a big part of who I am.’ The result is a gorgeous backdrop to this lyric video that hammers home the importance of roots to Dugger.
Take a watch now before the video’s release at 4pm tomorrow!
About Tim Dugger
Singer and songwriter, Tim Dugger has managed to combine his passion for music and racing, playing concerts at every major race track in the country (except two).
“I grew up watching racing with my dad, and I grew up a Dale Earnhardt fan,” Dugger shares. “In my town where I’m from—Randolph County, Alabama—there’s no bars, no music scene.”
Growing up singing in church and forming a Southern gospel duo with his sister, Dugger was raised loving country music and respecting the road – seeing his father cross the country in the cab of a tractor-trailer, scanning the radio dial for dedications from his wife, who would call in to Country stations and request his favourite songs. During the summers, Dugger’s parents would drop him off at the local music store, where he would play with retired banjo and guitar pickers. These experiences helped shape his classic Country sound and relatable persona.
“Everything makes you who you are. I don’t recognize the man I was a few years ago,” Dugger admits. “Now I think I know who I am, and musically, you need to know who you are. When you write a song, you’re going to affect people’s lives, so you better have something to say.”
Dugger has spent the last decade honing his sound and talents. He never goes more than two weeks without playing a show. If he’s not exploring a honky tonk or watching a race, you can find him in Nashville perfecting his songwriting craft.
Tim Dugger’s new six-song EP, Signs of a Good Time, released April 24, 2020 and is produced by Dan Huff protégé Brandon Hood.
