Ahead of her appearance as part of Destination Country’s Happy Half Hour, we create our definitive ranking of every Sara Evans record, from our most to least favourite.
Do you agree with our picks?
1. Stronger (2011)
It would be impossible not to place this record as our first pick, containing the mammoth hit ‘Stronger,’ released after a high-profile divorce from her ex-husband. Other insuperable hits include ‘Alone’ and the flawless ‘Ticket to Ride.’
2. Slow Me Down (2014)
Containing two heavy-hitting collaborations with Gavin DeGraw, Vince Gill and Isaac Slade, though this record does not include her biggest hits, the quality from start to finish is phenomenal.
3. Born To Fly (2000)
This record felt like it pushed Evans career into the stratosphere, with her long-standing hit ‘Born To Fly,’ the record from start to finish shows the power of Evans vocal – and it is something to behold.
4. Restless (2003)
Has there ever been such a phenomenal track 13 as ‘Suds in the Bucket’? This is everything 90s/early 00s country did right, tender songwriting, poised production.
5. No Place That Far (1998)
6. Words (2017)
7. Real Fine Place (2005)
8. Three Chords and the Truth (1997)
Sara Evans’ first record showed the power of her vocal, yet was not quite as mature as the other records on her discography.
9. Copy That (2020)
This is not just any normal cover record, this is a mammoth sonic overhaul of some of the most well-known hits from the last century, flawlessly executed, this was a truly ingenious record.
10. At Christmas (2014)
We’re literally only popping this in last place because it’s a Christmas record – if only Christmas were all year round.
