Sense and Sensibility is the novel we return to again and again – despite the fact that Colonel Brandon and Edward Ferrars are by no means the most charismatic of romantic leads.
The novel revolves around two sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood and their romantic lives after the death of their father means that they are left virtually penniless and have to move to the countryside. It’s effectively a Cinderella story doubled.
