[tps_title] 3. Adele, 30 [/tps_title]
Probably the most-anticipated album of the year, Adele returned with her ‘divorce’ record in which she sings out her pain. As ever with Adele it seems that the more pain and heartache she undergoes, the better the record. On 30 her vocal is simply sublime, partnering with new collaborators that breathe fresh energy into the record, fusing Old Hollywood-esque elements, digging deep into her own internal psyche to reach an understanding and acceptance of her own pain – 30 is a revelation.
