Modern Age Music Announce Full line-up for Very First Roots Fest in London this November.
The Modern Age Music Roots team have now proudly announced the full line-up for the inaugural ‘Roots Fest’ in London this November: an event that provides a showcase for a carefully chosen, eclectic range of new and established talent.
The brand-new event will take place at 229 The Venue —a venue on Great Portland Street, famed for its vibrant, multifaceted, diverse, grassroots scene — on Saturday 20th November, bringing together a fine selection of the country’s best new country, roots and americana acts.
In the words of promoter Brandon Wright: “We wanted to put on a festival-type event for artists who didn’t have the opportunity to play the summer festivals this year. With the cancellation of last year’s festivals, many of the acts were rolled over to this year, and it has therefore been really hard for new acts to get a look-in.
“The idea for Roots Fest is to give these artists a platform to promote themselves and their music to a new and diverse audience.”
Father and son songwriting duo Jack & Tim will headline, with a full-band acoustic performance of material with which they’ve toured the world to acclaim.
“Great voices & songs,” said Chris Country, “Just what the UK Country scene needs.”
Also on the line-up:
Award-winning, Manchester singer/songwriter Izzie Walsh
Bluegrass/Americana collective, The Orange Circus Band
Award-winning, Manchester singer/songwriter Izzie Walsh
19-year-old live scene singer/songwriter Isabella Coulstock
Louisiana-born, New York-raised, now London-based, Americana singer /songwriter, Kate Ellis
Máiréad, one of the brightest stars on the UK country scene.
Sponsored by Pistonhead Larger, BCMA, Music and Tours News, and Central Press PR, Roots Fest looks like an unmissable showcase festival of country, Americana, bluegrass and more.
