Mickey Guyton will release her new EP – Bridges – on September 11th.
Mickey Guyton has announced today that she is set to release her new EP – Bridges on 11th September. Guyton shares of the project “Two years ago, this project didn’t feel like it was even a possibility… This EP proves that in your darkest moments, you can have your biggest breakthroughs. I think back to all of the obstacles in my life and career, including writing and recording most of this EP in quarantine during a time of social unrest, and how it has all led to the birth of this beautiful project. I hope these songs provide others with the same happiness and strength they have provided me in these uncertain times.”
Mickey was recently featured by outlets including Pollstar, NPR, Rolling Stone and the Los Angeles Times. Her powerful songs including the autobiographical “Black Like Me,” and honest “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?” continue to receive acclaim from critics and fans. Written at a cross-genre writing camp in 2019, “Black Like Me” is one of NPR’s 25 Favorite Songs of 2020 and Paste Magazine’s Best Country Songs of 2020.
