UK country star, Laura Evans has just released the new video for her single ‘Drag Me Back In.’
Laura Evans, rising star in the UK country scene, has released a brand-new video for her latest single ‘Drag Me Back In’: the second single to drop from her forthcoming EP ‘Running Back to You’, due to be released on Friday 31st July.
The single is accompanied by an Official Music video that Laura Evans filmed on location in her hometown of Wales before handing it over to LA-based editor, Stevie Teran.
“I shot the video in my hometown in Wales, around deserted roads and country lanes,” she explains “the song has an edgy strong lyric so it was important that we created and showed the strong independent, side of a woman alone, paving her own way, as well as the more vulnerable side.
“We filmed over 2 days and made sure we had enough footage which was quite challenging during Lockdown. But I was really happy with everything we’d captured and then I shared my ideas with my creative editor friend who then worked his magic putting it all together”
Whilst Laura Evans is often compared to Stevie Nicks, ‘Drag Me Back In” shows she has Bonnie Raitt-style controlled, raw edge and power too. “It’s definitely the rockiest song on the EP,” Laura admits, “I’d like to think rocky AND soulful. When we started writing it, Nicolas played everything on electric guitar in the session. I guess that pushed us in a rockier direction, but I’m glad he did!
The single is already making its mark after being added to the popular Spotify editorial Playlist “Nu-Blue” alongside US artists like Larkin Poe and Dave Stewart as well as getting huge praise from BBC Radio Wales after being added to their welsh A- LIST. Laura has been championed by DJ Eleri Sion
“Laura Evans is just brillant! I love this song and love all her work”
Enjoy the single and video for ‘Drag Me Back In’ and don’t forget: Laura Evan’s eagerly-awaited EP ‘Running Back to You’ will be released on Friday 31st July.
