Kip Moore releases new anthem ‘Live Here to Work’ with an accompanying music video
Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Kip Moore has just dropped his latest track, “Live Here to Work,” alongside a gritty, grunge-inspired rock music video. Released through Virgin Music Group, the song reunites Moore with co-producer Jaren Johnston for a rebellious, guitar-driven anthem. The track challenges the work/life balance with defiant lyrics: “My time is short and it ain’t yours / Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind getting my hands in a little dirt / But I don’t live here to work.”
In speaking about the song, Moore shared, “I think it’s easy to get caught in the routine of daily tasks and feel like you’re on a hamster wheel. Everyone reaches that point where they think, ‘I need to break free, or my spirit is going to die.’ We played ‘Live Here to Work’ live recently, and the crowd went wild. I can’t wait to see how more people react to it.”
Last week, Moore teased the single and announced his partnership with Virgin Music Group. He told Billboard, “Their drive, passion, and global approach made this partnership the perfect fit. We’ve seen tremendous international growth from touring the last few years, and Virgin’s reach will help us expand even further.”
Currently, Moore is headlining his Nomad World Tour, which resumes with a 14-show run in Australia before returning to South Africa, where he previously performed for over 40,000 fans. The tour will wrap up with a series of U.S. dates in the fall.
