Country superstar, Kenny Chesney, has just shared new track ‘We Do’ from forthcoming album ‘Here and Now’ available this Friday.
Country superstar, Kenny Chesney, who has sold over 30 million albums, had eight Billboard #1 albums and a position as the eighth biggest touring attraction of the past decade, is back with new album ‘Here and Now’ this Friday.
He has just shared his brand new single ‘We Do’ from the album, ahead of its release – also available for physical release on May 15th. In ‘We Do,’ Chesney celebrates the community that exists around his huge headline tours and his incredible fanbase (the No Shoes Nation). The song’s euphoric rallying cry says it all: “Who gets to live like we do? WE DO!”
“This is a song that wouldn’t exist without all those people on my road family,” says Chesney. “The folks at all the stadiums nationwide, the radio people who start blasting our music when we’re coming to town. I always talk about how I can hear them from the bus and that fun just gets backstage. You get caught up in it. And I hear the stories about Lot 12, the people who come together from all over, the cookouts, the tiki bars, the people raising money for charity. They take all that energy, then they go out into the world and live their lives the same way.”
‘Here And Now’ follows Chesney’s ‘Songs for the Saints’ album, a deeply personal collection of songs which was inspired by the rebuilding process in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Traversing many genre styles, the dozen tracks on ‘Here And Now’ span the sonic diversity of Chesney. ‘Here And Now’ features highlights such as ‘Knowing You’, ‘Guys Named Captain’ and the title track. It also highlights ‘Tip Of My Tongue’, which he co-wrote with Ed Sheeran.
