Tebey has announced a string of UK and European tour dates this August 2024, following the release of his cover of The Weeknd’ ‘Blinding Lights’
Platinum-selling and award-winning artist and songwriter Tebey has announced his return to the UK and Europe, with a headline show in London on August 21st at Omeara presented by Live Nation, and in Germany at Sound of Nashville’s Open Air Festival in Cologne on August 25th.
Commenting on his return to the UK and Germany, Tebey shared, “I’m really looking forward to getting back overseas for some shows. I’ve seen first hand how much the genre is growing in both the UK & Germany, and I’m happy to bring my live show to a very passionate country music fan base.”
Tebey has recently released his viral country rendition of The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’, available now via Jayward Artist Group / The Orchard on all streaming platforms here. Released worldwide on March 9, due to explosive fan demand, the track has already had over 4.2 million global streams and 26.6 million impressions on Instagram; airplay in 13 countries; charted on Apple Music in 88 Countries; and hit Top 3 on the Spotify Viral Chart in Norway (#1), Sweden (#2), Ireland (#2), Finland (#2) and the Viral Top 5 in his native Canada (#4).
Tebey first recorded a short snippet of the song and posted it to social media (March 3rd), which generated such an immediate, positive response that his team encouraged him to promptly record a full studio version of the cover. The resulting TikTok clip of Tebey’s take on ‘Blinding Lights’ had over 12 million views in one week, and Tebey’s clips featuring the song have now surpassed 31 million total views. His unique country twist on the acclaimed, record-breaking pop song rapidly captured the attention of users worldwide. It was even noticed by The Weeknd himself, who posted about the song on Instagram and reposted Tebey’s video on his own page; now his 5th most viewed TikTok video ever.
