Georgia Webster has delivered the next track in her musical evolution with ‘Delusional.’
Genre-blending singer-songwriter Georgia Webster delivers the next iteration on her musical evolution by releasing the song and video for “Delusional.” Written alongside Austin Goodloe, Joybeth Taylor, and Lydia Vaughan, Webster navigates personal heartbreak by recounting scenarios from a previous relationship. With an airy, dreamlike melody, the anthem invites the listener into Webster’s psyche, where she asks, ‘were the feelings mutual, or is she delusional for thinking it was something more?’ It’s a sound that propels Webster on in her career, one that crosses and blurs genre boundaries.
“Was it love at first sight or did love just make me blind? / I could have sworn that the feelin’ was mutual / When you said we were somethin’ special you meant it, right? / Were we crazy ‘bout each other / Or was I just delusional?”
“I wrote ‘Delusional’ about feeling crazy over a relationship and feeling like you’re in denial. It’s a feeling I think a lot of people can relate to and I hope this song connects with everyone and helps them cope in the way that it helped me when I wrote it!” says Webster.
The track follows her most recent release, “Attention,” which alludes to channeling an Olivia Rodrigo-esque mindset of going to extreme lengths to capture one’s attention. Defining this new era of music, Webster worked alongside producer King Henry (Sasha Sloan, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, Beyonce) to hone in her sound and create some of the most “exciting and authentic” music she’s written so far. It’s a sound that crosses genres and appeals to many audiences globally.
Following a busy year on Kelsea Ballerini’s HEARTFIRST TOUR, Webster will embark on her headlining acoustic TOWN TALKS TOUR—making stops in multiple cities across the US.
