Acclaimed singer/songwriter Sean McConnell has announced his new album ‘Secondhand Smoke’ out on February 8th, 2019 via Big Picnic Records and available for pre-order now, and released the lead single ‘Here We Go’ (links below). McConnell will also open for country/Americana star Ashley Monroe on her UK & European tour in January, before kicking off his own 20+ date 2019 U.S. headlining tour, including dates in New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas and Nashville, and taking to the road with rockers Needtobreathe for their national tour later in the spring.
Describing the song, he said: “I am very taken with, and have spent my life listening for, that voice that speaks to you in the silence. The one that calls you on adventures, that steers you towards your truth, and that reminds you, or at least reminds me, that this universe is so much more than what we can experience with our five senses. I am a firm believer in signs and following them. This is a song about that kind of listening and watching. It was a real thrill to write it with my friend, the supremely talented Ian Fitchuk.”
Over his career to date McConnell has written for top artists such as Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Meat Loaf, David Nail, Brothers Osborne, Buddy Millerand Plain White T’s.
Produced, recorded and written by McConnell in his Nashville home studio, ‘Secondhand Smoke’is a striking intimate portrait of life’s intricacies. “These are stories that people are familiar with,” adds McConnell, “and they steer the ship in a certain direction, then leave you off at this ocean of possibilities that we didn’t plan on the story taking us to.” Full UK/European tour dates:
