Pop country artist Erin Grand has released the first in a series of five acoustic videos, alongside announcing her ‘Casual Sessions’ Acoustic EP.
Pop-country newcomer Erin Grand extends the buzz around her debut EP Anything But Casual, out on 21st April, with the launch of her Casual Sessions – a collection of the EP’s five tunes reimagined with stripped-back production and videos to match. The visual for her sultry, smooth song “Mood (Casual Sessions)” is out now. Grand will treat fans to one song and its accompanying video every Friday through the end of April, at which point the acoustic Casual Sessions EP will be available in its entirety with DSPs.
“‘Mood’ was a really fun song to kind of strip back and do just vocal and acoustic on, just because it’s such a drastic change, going from being so R&B-heavy to something a little more sultry – which is really how the song started off in the first place,” Grand told Nashville Noise.
Anything But Casual was produced by Alex Kiel, with vocals produced by Brad Hill, and all five debut tracks were co-penned by Grand. The project also includes previously released tunes like the carefree, quirky “Better With Wine,”“Lonely Does,” “Heartless,” which portrays the authentic power of being vulnerable and “Casual” – the EP’s title track. The collective exemplifies the Minnesota native’s distinct vocal tenor and strength, and candid (oftentimes witty) lyricism – the culmination of which continually merits new fans and positions her as one of the industry’s most promising talents.
