Drake White has announced new EP – The Bridge – set for release on 6th October, including the new single ‘Ladder to the Sky.’
Country-Soul artist/songwriter Drake White has announced his highly-anticipated EP, ‘The Bridge.’ The seven-song collection of inspiration, love and purpose is set to premiere on 6th October.
The follow-up to White’s full-length 2022 album THE OPTIMYSTIC — his second studio album that shares the story of an incredible journey to recovery from an on-stage stroke in 2019 — ‘The Bridge’ marks a new era for White beyond his recovery where he re-discovers himself and the purpose in his life. Blended with new songs and alternative versions of THE OPTIMYSTIC fan-favorites, White co-wrote on all seven, co-produced on four, and produced the last three tracks on his own.
White explains, “The Webster dictionary defines a bridge as a structure carrying a pathway or roadway over a depression or obstacle. This is the bridge taking me to back to why I started making music in the first place.”
With two of the tracks released earlier this summer, the remaining hits consist of a noteworthy duet between White and GRAMMY-winning artist Colbie Caillat for a special rendition of “Power of a Woman,” a raw rough-cut track of “50 Years Too Late,” a co-write collaboration with Nashville heavy-hitters Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, plus more. Check out the full track list below.
