Acclaimed festival, Dixie Fields, has announced that it will be hosting an online streaming event on July 11th. Tickets available now.
Dixie Fields, the Essex-based country music festival that had a wildly successful first year in 2019, winning the Best UK Festival at the Country Music Spotlight Awards in its first year, has announced that it will be returning with a virtual show after its Covid-19 enforced cancellation, quelling disappointment for its legions of fans. The festival will take place on the 11th July, using a brand-new gig-centred platform, Giginar.
Not only will Dixie Fields Streamed provide a full festival line-up to showcase both international and UK talent, but will also bring together an hour of brand new releases from up and coming talent. The New Music Hour will see some of the most exciting country hits to have been released this year, performed and recorded specially for Dixie Fields by artists across the UK and the USA. Maintaining the importance to the festival of local artists and grass roots musicians, Essex will be represented by some of the rising stars of the UK country scene.
Georgie Thorogood, Operations Director for Dixie Fields says “We were devastated to have to cancel the real Dixie Fields festival for this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we are thrilled to be able to still engage with our audience and compile a simply stunning line up of real country music which can be streamed directly to you, wherever you are! Although a virtual festival is hugely different to the amazing live event held last year, we are so excited to be able to offer this to fans across the World, not only the UK. Our friends and followers have already been discussing how best to decorate their gardens and homes for the event and we can’t wait to see the pictures.”
The line-up for the main festival performances include Jackson Michelson (USA) – a standout performer at last year’s festival, the hugely talented Steel Blossoms (USA), UK country stars Kezia Gill, Stevie O’Connor and Gareth Nugent and local artists Lucy Blu, Hannah Paris and The Jackson Line, all of whom earned huge accolades for their 2019 Dixie Fields performances.
The New Music Hour will showcase some of the hottest new releases from: Royal South (USA), Honey County (USA), Poppy Fardell, Emma & Jolie, Scott Nicholls, Two Ways Home, Gary Quinn, Jessica Lynn (USA), Ryan Robinette (USA), Brittany McLamb (USA), Kevin McGuire and more to be announced.
In a bid to harness the interactive and social aspects of a live concert, bespoke platform Giginar provides the opportunity for the performing artists to hear feedback and cheers from the audience, and the audience can communicate in private chats between themselves.
