Canadian country trio, Petric, have today premiered the new music video for their single – Kids – ahead of the release. Of the video the band state “The video for Kids brings up a whole bunch of mixed emotions. It brings back some of our best memories as a band and reminds us why we do what we do. Our fans drive us and inspire us more than anything. This video is definitely a tribute to our fans, and the moments we’ve shared with them. We miss our fans and these moments so much. Every time we watch this video, we become more ambitious to get back on that stage, right where we left off. One thing is for sure, next time we get to perform, it’s going to be the best show of our lives.”
‘Kids’ is the latest single to be released from PETRIC’s forthcoming full-length album ‘Flashbacks’, set for release on 13th January and available for pre-save here. The single explores the roads of heartbreak and unrequited love experienced by their singer Tom. ‘Kids’ is right on the bullseye for what Petric does best, country-pop music with crafty guitar licks, dynamic vocals and memorable melodies. The nostalgic vibe and throwback lyrics take the listener back to the ‘good ole-days’ of high school, first cars and first loves. “This song is Petric, everything the band can do is on display. It captures everything that is great about the band”, explain the band.
The upcoming album will also include previous singles including; power ballad ‘If I Was Your Man’, the inspiring ‘All Who Wander’, which has seen support from UK country tastemakers including Entertainment Focus, British Country Music Association. Countryline TV and BBC’s The Big Country Show, ‘Déjà Vu’ which captured the attention of industry and fans with their high energy, rich vocals and alluring songwriting, as well as earlier single ‘Something To Do With You’ and radio hit ‘Single Problem’, which earned over one million streams and was the highest charting single by a Canadian independent artist in 2019 (peaking at #19).
