Leslie Jordan has announced that he will be partnering with Apple Music on a new show – Hunker Down Radio with Leslie Jordan – the first episode going live today at 7pm GMT.
In 2020, actor and comedian Leslie Jordan added a new and unexpected title to his CV – social media star, earning a massive following with his warm and funny online presence, a breath of fresh air during trialling times. On Hunker Down Radio, Leslie and hit country music songwriter Travis Howard will bring their quick-witted Southern humour. Each one-hour episode gives a glimpse into Leslie’s life while serving up a hearty dose of country, gospel, and blues guaranteed to lift your spirits and make you feel like you’re part of the family.
In the debut episode, Leslie talks about how he and his co-host Travis Howard met, the closest he’s gotten to meeting Elton John, and why Roseanne Cash might be coming for him after she hears this episode.
Leslie also reveals how he got Brandi Carlile to sing on ‘Angel Band,’ from his forthcoming hymns album, Company’s Coming, out April 2nd, so it’s only fitting he would end the show with a hymn performed live with Travis.
The first episode debuts Sunday 28th February at 7pm GMT. Listen live for free or on-demand at: apple.co/_HunkerDown.
