Brett Kissel on Canadian country music:
Canadian country music has never been stronger. It has never been better. Our music has never been more accessible to a worldwide audience than right now! And although it is not very ‘Canadian’ to boast, I will proudly boast and say how exciting it is to see so many Canadian stars crushing it in Nashville.
Brett Kissel on hosting a global show:
It’s incredible to know that Canada’s Country Radio will be bringing the best of Canadian country music to more than 150 countries across the planet – and I truly believe that the talent we’ve got in Canada right now is so deserving of this global audience – I just know that whether people tune in from Toronto, or Nashville, or Prague, or Melbourne or anywhere in-between…they’re going to enjoy it and become fans of some incredible songs and incredible Canadian artists.
Brett Kissel on Canada’s Country Radio:
It’s an incredible honour to be hosting my own show on Apple Music. To be joining a roster that has included a legend like Tim McGraw and current hosts like my friend Ty Bentli just to name a few…it’s kind of surreal – – Big shoes to fill but I’m looking forward to it and can’t wait to bring the best of Canadian country music to fans across the globe…and bring everyone into one heck of a hangout and a great time! Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a storyteller and an entertainer to my core. So interviewing my friends in the business will not be your typical Q&A. It’s gonna be entertaining. I’m talking road stories. Embarrassing moments. Lots of laughs.
